Hello!! Welcome to The Veg of Reason!
I'm Leah. I'm a vegan. I'm not a pale withering mess crippled by lack of protein and I don't wear socks and sandals (not that I have anything against either socks or sandals, and actually, I do wear both socks and sandals, just not at the same time!) I have a geek-tastic encyclopaedic knowledge of 1960s music, I do a cracking horse impression and my little fingers are curiously bendy. Most interestingly and importantly however, I do not go hungry, no Sir!
I started this blog because I really want to show people that a healthy vegan diet can also be super easy and super tasty! I want to shake off the misconception that all vegans live off lettuce leaves and carrot sticks. When I became vegan I felt like my food options almost exploded, and it has been a very exciting (not to mention TASTY) journey for me.
If I were to catagorize myself, I suppose I would call myself a whole foods semi raw vegan. All my recipes are gluten free, free from refined sugars, free from processed food and any odd chemicals/preservatives/additives.
When I tell people that I'm a gluten free vegan the common response is, "What the hell do you eat?!" Well, this blog is my response to that question and it will hopefully show you that I'm not missing out in the slightest!
